Adapt with just another copy

Take a good look at your surroundings, does everything feel the same? Does everyone dress, talk and act the same? Are you mistaking these human copies for the right people? Should you hide some interest simply because they seem a bit neglected? Do you have unfamiliar ideas and opinions that might make people think you're crazy? When was the last time you were yourself? How many people can you talk to spontaneously and feel comfortable with that? All of us need to feel that we belong somewhere, that we are not alone, that we are just human. But you should never confuse adapting with being just another copy. Just to clear up some misconceptions about adaptation.

Fitting in doesn't mean imitating what seems "acceptable" so that you can be approved of by others.

Blend in with the environment, the environment of those who accept you for who you are, not who they want you to be. Stop having this urge to need to change certain things about yourself, whether it's your appearance or your attitude. Whether it's expressing your feelings or expressing a different point of view.

People are not the same; human minds are not set in stone.

It's not shocking to find out that some people may accept some situations you can't handle. It's not surprising that someone might wear different clothes. What is shocking is that society calls these people "outdated". It is not surprising that people use different humor, and it is certainly inappropriate to think that people must have the same body image. Everyone should accept how different they like to look and act, and should accept what they are born with. In addition to respecting the different characteristics that other people may have, embrace their particular characteristics.

Find the joy of being who you are.

You're not awkward or boring. You don't need to have the same interests to match the interests of those around you. You make some people smile and make some people feel better, and you're not useless. There's no need to ignore less crowded places to travel simply because they don't seem to fit. You should look like whatever you want, eat whatever you want, talk the way you want to talk, and do whatever you want to do. Dress the way you want to dress and live the way you want to live. Don't be afraid of the opportunity to be like everyone else.
